About Rawclyde!

I have employed a few pen names throughout the years, Rawclyde with an exclamation mark (!) being one... Came of age at Crawford High School, in San Diego, CA ~ writing sports & a column for the school paper and playing football ~ graduated in '68... Attended San Diego State University for a couple years... Hit the road in a '56 Chevy milk truck that I called a "studymobile," for about a year, mostly thru the southwest, filling up notebooks & working as a laborer... Back in San Diego I practiced the genteel art of fiction without profit, did so for several years... Enlisted in the U.S. Army ~ they made me a newsman in Hawaii ~ wrote another column for a while... Then attended more courses at SDSU ~ studied novel writing with Professor Charlie Brashers... Back in the Sonoran Desert, I sold books out of an '85 Ford one-ton van that I called a "book mule" for three seasons... I've written & self-published 7 books... Presently yours truly lives in the southwest...
